Adding a Channel
Adding a channel to Merchkit takes just a few clicks. When you select a channel, Merchkit automatically loads the channel's template attributes, category views, and default AI prompts — everything is ready to go.
Step 1: Open the Channels Section
In your Merchkit sidebar, locate the Channels section. You'll see icons for any channels you've already added.

Step 2: Click "+ Add Channel"
At the bottom of the Channels section, click the + Add Channel button.

Step 3: Select Your Channel
Browse the available channels and click the one you want to add:
- Wayfair — Furniture and home décor marketplace
- Walmart — Major retail marketplace
- Amazon — E-commerce giant
- Google Merchant — Google Shopping feeds
- Shopify — Your own storefront
- Mirakl platforms — (Mathis, Mine, Rue La La, etc.)
- Nordstrom Rack — Luxury marketplace
- ChatGPT / GEO — AI assistant channels
- Houzz — Home design marketplace

Once you select a channel, Merchkit immediately loads the channel's attribute templates and default AI prompts. The channel appears in your sidebar — click it to open its dedicated grid view.

What Happens Next
Once your channel is added:
- The channel grid view opens — You see all channel-specific attributes ready to be filled
- Default prompts are loaded — Merchkit pre-configures AI prompts for common attributes
- You're ready to generate — Select SKUs and generate channel content
